Just like many people know your name, but don't really know you,
do you know His name,
but really don't know him?
It's About You In the Most Simple Form
When God looks down at us, He sees the blackness of sin. And God, being perfect, can't have a relationship with us or let us
into Heaven because of the black sin.
So God sent Jesus to die for us, and to shed His perfect red blood. When we accept Jesus into our heart,
Jesus' perfect red blood covers over the black sin. Then, when God looks down, He can't see the black sin, because it is covered over
by perfect red blood.
Then God says, "Thats my Son's perfect red blood. That's is welcome in my presence".
Then the wrecked relationship is restored.
The More Detailed Version
When God looks down at us, He sees the blackness of sin.
God is perfect, and we're not. All of us have messed up at some point.
Our "mess up" is anything we have done that God told us not to do. So if you have ever in your life told a lie, disobeyed your parents,
hated someone, been less than honest about anything, taken supplies from work, cheated on a test, run a stop sign,
displayed or felt anger at another "idiot" driver, etc, etc, then you have "messed up".
God calls this "mess up": sin.
...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. - Romans 3:23
And God, being perfect, can't have a relationship with us or let us into Heaven because of the black sin.
God is perfect, and His presence demands the same. Yet, God loves you and wants you. He desires an intimate relationship
with you. But, sin wrecks the relationship.
And it's because of mistakes (sin) that we all have to die at some point. We pay for those mistakes.
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came
to all men, because all sinned-- - Romans 5:12
For the wages of sin is death,... - Romans 6:23
Afterlife
many people think many different things occur. But, God pretty well laid out in the Bible what happens next after you die.
...For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. It is written: "As surely as I live, says the Lord,
every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God". So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
- Romans 14:10-12
...And I saw the dead, both small and great, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was
opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
-Revelation 20:12
Now this is where
a whole bunch of people are going to say that the good things they've done out-weigh that bad things.
They'll tell God of how they went to church every Sunday, gave BIG offerings, made sure their kids went to college, helped little old ladies across the
street, made Eagle Scout, sang in the choir, never killed or raped anybody, never cheated on their taxes, and on and on and on.
But, there's one problem!
If anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. -Revelation 20:15
That doesn't leave much room to argue about how good you were or anything else.
Book of Life? Yes, the Book of Life. Think of it as Heaven's reservation list. And
just like some fancy resturants, you had better make reservations ahead of time, or you don't get in. Reservations?
Oops! Did you forget your reservations?
You have to make your reservations BEFORE you die!
|
|
Reservations?...Why Decide Now?
Basically because God wants to be loved by us. He wants us to want to be
with Him because we want to, not because we're forced to. By making reservations ahead of time, we're proving our love, our trust,
and our faith in God. Remember the TV show Let's Make A Deal?
Right now you have the choice between Door Number One and Door Number Two. God is saying, "pick door number one and
reserve your spot". But, it's still your choice. Door Number One, or Door Number Two?
You make your pick, and when you die, you get to see what you've won, and you can't trade.
If we could choose at the judgement seat, well of course everyone would choose God. Who wouldn't pick the Cadillac behind door
number one over a flaming broken down Yugo behind door number two.
But, choosing at that time wouldn't prove our love, trust, and faith in God which is what He wants.
Choosing now is saying, "Okay God, I love you and trust you".
How does God resolve the dilemma of sin so you can have a relationship with him?
How do you make reservations for Heaven?
So God sent Jesus to die for us, and to shed His perfect red blood.
When we accept Jesus into our heart, Jesus' perfect red blood covers over the black sin.
So, what if someone lived on earth and was perfect? You know, like NO SIN, none, nope, nada.
If that happened, then that person wouldn't have to pay for his sin. And since he
wouldn't have to pay for his sin, he could pay for ours.
In other words, it's sort of like we used up all our money to pay for our mistakes and now we don't have enough to get into this really nice
place. However, because someone didn't make any mistakes, he has the money to pay for us to get in.
Well this person exists and His name is Jesus. Therefore the question is, Jesus is offering to pay your way in,
will you accept his payment for you? Or will you reject the payment and stay out?
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not
perish but have eternal life. -John 3:16
Then, when God looks down, He can't see the black sin, because it is covered over
by perfect red blood.
Then God says, "Thats my Son's perfect red blood. That's is welcome in my presence".
Then the wrecked relationship is restored.
To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become the children of God
-John 1:12
Now it's your turn
and you have a decision to make.
It doesn't matter who you are, where you come from, or where you are in life. Jesus died for you, and wants a
relationship with you. Will you accept?
If you would like to accept, then pray the following prayer:
Father God, Please make me your child. I realize I have sinned against you and I accept your forgiveness made possible
by Jesus dying for me on the cross, and raising from the dead. I place my faith and trust in Jesus Christ and receive Him as
Savior and Lord. I want to follow and serve you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
So what happens next?
If you want more information before making a decision, you can visit a local church,
e-mail me, or Click Here and visit the links on the right side of the page.
If you have accepted Jesus, then welcome to the family.
The next thing you need to do is to ask God to help you find a church home. Ask Him to lead you to where He wants you to be.
You will need to be baptised in your new church home.
Read the Gospel of John (4th Book of the New Testament in the Bible) to learn more about Jesus and who He is.
